Microsoft Windows 11

Just encountered same problem Cartridges worked fine for years then today when changing black Cartridge as per below

AS-H905BXL says for use with HP Office Jet Pro 6990 (my printer) always worked before I 'm getting same message "Non -HP Chip detected and printer wont print, based on the comments it looks like throw out the HP Brand from the OFFICE, unless you can guarantee a solution.

 

Is this something HP Have recently done please advise?

I understand you are facing an ink cartridge issue with your HP Office Jet Pro 6990. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

To resolve the issue please follow the below steps:

You may refill your cartridges or use remanufactured cartridges, but you may run into problems. HP will not guarantee the functionality of those ink cartridges.

There are many cartridges in the market which is refilled and sometimes the chip is not configured to work with the printer. You need to contact the cartridge manufacturer and find out why its not working. Try a different cartridge supplier and check if that works.
