I'm receiving an error that the printer is not connected to the internet.  The printer is saying that it is connected to the wireless network with a strong or excellent signal strength.  I've turned off the printer and router to let them reboot to no avail.  What else can I do to restore the internet connection so my printer will print again?

Connection to the Internet and connection to your local wireless network are two different animals.

 

Connection of the printer to the Internet is typically controlled by using Web Services.

 

Start here

 HP printers - Managing the printer internet connection (Web Services)

 

Web Services is used to connect the printer to the Internet. 

 

Web Services recognizes the printer and hands it to whatever service is "next". 

 

For example,

Web Services might hand your printer to ePrint, Instant Ink, HP+, Print Anywhere, or certain Cloud services.

 Enter the device type and model name of your HP product

Look for and open the user manual for your printer
