Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Have an HP 6958, drivers downloaded.  Been in a box for 3 years, just set up 2 months ago.  Printed a few times, all fine.  Then it stopped.  Still scans.  Drivers are up to date.  Originally had an error code - 0x610000a4.  There was no paper jam but it keeps telling me to clear that.  I go thru the motions.  Power button was not shutting down so I'd unplug, upon reboot, I'm told printer shutdown improperly & to always use the power button!  After numerous times trying things via HP virtual ass't, the power button is now shutting down properly!  BUT.... when I turn it on, I get the same error message!

 

Might be time for a new one though this one is in good shape.  I'll try whatever is suggested before junking it.
