@hcmsqueeky, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e. Let's try to resolve it together.
Here are some steps you can follow:

Here's how to troubleshoot and potentially fix this:

Power Reset the Printer

  • Turn the printer off.
  • Unplug the power cable from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 2–3 minutes.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

This resets hardware and clears temporary memory glitches.

Check for Firmware Update

If the printer starts without the error:

  • Go to the printer’s control panel → Setup → Printer Maintenance → Update the Printer.
  • Or visit: HP Firmware Download
  • Make sure it is connected to the internet for direct updates.

Clear Print Queue (Windows 11)

  • On your PC, go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners.
  • Select your HP 9015e printer.
  • Click "Open print queue" → Remove all pending print jobs.
  • Restart the Print Spooler:
  • Open the Run dialog (Windows + R), type: services.msc
  • Find Print Spooler → Right-click → Restart

Try Printing via HP Smart App

  • Install the HP Smart App from the Microsoft Store.
  • Remove and re-add the printer.
  • Try printing a test page or document.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
