Hi @ThomasCX ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're encountering a frustrating issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8022e printer. When encountering such errors, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:
- Restart the Printer: Since you've already tried turning it off and on again, you might want to perform a more thorough restart. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
- Check Connections: Ensure that all cables are securely connected, including the power cable and any cables connecting the printer to your computer or network.
- Update Firmware: Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve issues. You can usually do this through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP support website and downloading the latest firmware for your printer model. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer's access doors and check for any paper jams or obstructions that may be causing the error message.
- Reset Printing System: On your computer, you can try resetting the printing system. On a Mac, you can do this by going to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-clicking on the printer, and selecting "Reset printing system." On Windows, you can go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on the printer, and select "Remove device." Then, reinstall the printer.
- Check Network Settings: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your wireless network. You can usually do this through the printer's settings menu. Make sure that the network name and password are entered correctly.
