Changed the ink cartridges & Printer Failure appears in the window. I have followed all suggestions to reset. Printer has been working fine, only needed new ink.

@Joelle56, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the printer failure!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand how frustrating it can be to see a "Printer Failure" message after replacing the ink cartridges. Let’s troubleshoot this together.

To better understand the issue, could you please answer the following questions?

  1. Are you seeing a specific error code along with the "Printer Failure" message? This can help identify the exact cause of the issue.
  2. Did you use genuine HP ink cartridges, or are they third-party/refilled cartridges? Non-HP cartridges can trigger error messages.
  3. Have you tried performing a power reset? If not, try unplugging the printer while it's on, waiting for 60 seconds, and then plugging it back in.

Let me know the details, and I’ll guide you through the next steps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
