Hi @MRST2SOME,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Hard Reset:
- Unplug the printer from the power source while it's turned on.
- Disconnect all other cables attached to the printer.
- Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
- Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet, avoiding any power strips or surge protectors as they might not supply sufficient power.
- Try turning on the printer.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions. Often, paper jams can cause the printer to malfunction.
Firmware Update:
- If the printer powers on, check if there is a firmware update available. Visit the HP Support website for downloads.
Inspect Power Cord:
- Examine the power cord for any signs of damage. A faulty power cord might fail to supply appropriate power to the device.
Power Cycling:
- If unplugging does not resolve the issue, try plugging into a different outlet. Sometimes, electrical outlets can be faulty.
Printer Display Screen:
- If the touchscreen is responsive, navigate to the settings to ensure all configurations are correct, particularly the energy save settings.
I hope this helps.
