Hi @Raymond_Mok,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Certainly, I can try to help you troubleshoot the issue with your HP ENVY 6020e printer. The "E" error code typically indicates an issue that needs attention. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve the problem.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Make sure there is no paper jam in the printer. Open the printer access door and check for any stuck paper. If you find any, carefully remove it.

Verify Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink. If you suspect low ink levels, consider replacing or refilling the cartridges.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve software-related issues.

Check Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If you are using a USB connection, make sure the cable is securely plugged in. If it's a wireless connection, check the Wi-Fi settings on the printer.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a reset on the printer. The method may vary, so refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to reset it.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility from the official HP website. This tool can automatically diagnose and fix printing problems.

Check for Software Conflicts:

  • Ensure that there are no conflicting software or applications that may interfere with the printer operation. Temporarily disable antivirus or firewall programs to check if they are causing the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
