I recently connected my printer after it had gone unused for some time. There didn't seem to be any issue, and it connected all right, but as soon as I went to print anything, it shot out a blank page. I have followed all the steps, listened to the AIs, and did everything I was asked but it still won't work.

 

Is it time to get a new printer?

Check Ink Levels: Even though the printer seems to be working fine, the ink might be empty or dried out, especially after being unused for a while. Try checking the ink levels through the printer’s software or the control panel on your PC.

Clean Printhead: Dried ink can clog the printhead, causing blank pages. Most printers have a built-in option to clean the printhead. You can access this via the printer's settings or software on your computer.

Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP offers a tool called "HP Print and Scan Doctor," which can automatically diagnose and fix many common printer issues. It might help identify and solve the problem you're facing.

Reinstall Printer Drivers: If you’ve already done some troubleshooting but the problem persists, reinstalling or updating the printer drivers might help. Sometimes, the drivers can get corrupted after a long time without use.

Check Paper Settings & Printer Queue: Double-check if there are any paper size mismatches or if there’s an issue with the print queue on your computer.
