Hi @joellove35,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
When your HP printer shows “Offline” even after restarting everything, it usually means the computer and printer aren’t communicating properly. Here’s how to fix it step by step:
1. Check Printer Status
- On your computer:
- Windows: Go to Settings → Devices → Printers & Scanners → Select your printer → Open Queue → Make sure Use Printer Offline is unchecked.
- Mac: Go to System Settings → Printers & Scanners → Select your printer → Check if it’s paused or offline.
2. Restart Print Spooler (Windows)
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Find Print Spooler, right-click → Restart.
3. Reconnect Printer
- Open HP app or Download: 👉 HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site
- Remove the printer and add it again using your Wi-Fi network (not Wi-Fi Direct).
4. Check Network
- Make sure the printer and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer’s control panel to confirm connectivity.
5. Update Drivers
- Go to HP’s official page: 👉 Official HP® Support
6. If Still Offline
- Disable SNMP Status in printer properties (Windows):
- Control Panel → Devices and Printers → Printer Properties → Ports → Configure Port → Uncheck SNMP Status Enabled.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
