Note for common printer problems
Customers receiving the"will damage your computer" message along with others like "unable to access cups/tmp" or "'@%' cannot be opened" need to update their version of the macOS. Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I believe you are trying to connect to the wi-fi direct network of the printer and it's asking for the wi-fi direct password.

Try 12345678.

If it doesn't work then to find the Wi-Fi Direct name and password, press the Information button (i) to print a printer information page.

Try the wi-fi direct passcode/password from that information page.
