Printer burned ink cartridge

Today I noticed a burning smell after I printed 2 pages. This strange error message came up that I've never seen before and I couldn't catch what it was. After that I received an error message for the black in cartridge. I took it out and noticed it has a small burn on it that wasn't there when I put it in. I'm not able to get any technical support on this. I did see someone else with this same issue and I'm waiting for them to respond to see if the issue was taken care of. If anyone else can assist I would greatly appreciate it. I'm assuming I can no longer use this printer. However I'm wondering if it can be fixed?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

I'm having the same problem with the black ink too. Smells like it's burnt out. And though I'm on your instant ink plan no ink has been sent to me. Not even a reply when I emailed them about this. So I'm paying for ink for a printer I can't use until I get another black ink cartridge. But they keep sending me Tri ink cartridges for the printer. Could you please shed some light on my problem?

I'm sorry you are going through this. I know it's frustrating. Someone should reach back out to you soon , I hope. I would post this to the community forum in a separate thread and someone should view it and get you to the right person. I'm just a regular member and unfortunately can't help you with your issue.
I hope your issue is resolved. I'm waiting for mine to be resolved as well.
