Previous message said:  "I am receiving the following error message: "The print carriage cannot move. Open the cartridge access door, clear any paper jam or obstruction, and select "OK"." Unfortunately I've opened every compartment I can find and see no paper jams or obstructions. I tried to follow the instructions for some other similar printers/issues and am not having luck. I cannot manually move the print carriage, even when the printer is off and unplugged. I don't see any latches that I can depress or debris stuck along the path of the print carriage. "

 

SandyTechy20 had replied "The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen."

 

Is it possible to also get a copy of the steps to reset?   Any further developments on how to fix this issue?

I understand that you are getting a carriage jam error, I am glad to assist you.

If you have tried all the steps mentioned in this HP document:- Click here

And if the issue still persists, you might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
