Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I copy (direct) or print (via wifi) the output is not aligned to the orginal, about 80% of the original is on one page and remainder on a following page (seems like the printer thinks the copy paper is smaller than it really is - am copying 81/2 x 11 to 81/2 by 11....

I see that you have issues with copying and printing, let us first resolve copy-related issues to ensure hardware functionality. 

 

I'd suggest you restore copy settings on the printer, here is how you do it-

 

1.From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Settings.

5. Select which function you would like to restore to the original factory settings:

● Copy ● Scan ● Fax ● Photo ● Network

6. Touch Restore. A message appears asking you to confirm.

7. Touch Restore.

 

Also, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

Try copying!

 

If you still have issues, share the copy of the printed and scanned document for reefrence.
