I am using HP 419 ink tank printer. Recently due to printing issue, I got my printing head for black colour replaced. It was working fine in the repair store. On bringing it home , I gave print command and it jus takes half page and does not print anything.

@Anand419printer, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP 419 Ink Tank printer is only printing half a page, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Check Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that the ink levels, especially for the black ink, are adequate. Low ink levels can cause incomplete printing.

Printer Connection:

  • Verify that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. Check the USB cable or network connection for any issues.

Align Printheads:

  • Sometimes print quality issues are related to misaligned printheads. Use the printer software to align and clean the printheads.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Clear any stuck print jobs that might be causing issues. You can do this by going to the “Devices and Printers” section on your computer, right-clicking on your HP printer, and selecting “See what’s printing.”

Driver and Software Updates:

  • Ensure that you have the latest driver and software updates installed for your printer. You can download these from the HP Support website.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • HP has a utility called the Print and Scan Doctor for solving printing and scanning issues. You might find HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows useful for diagnosing and fixing issues automatically.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer that might resolve the issue.

Test Printheads:

  • Run a test page or diagnostic page from the printer’s control panel to ensure that the printheads are functioning correctly.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
