Hi @Norak1968

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error message B8698646 on your HP Envy Photo 7134 printer typically points to an internal printer issue, often related to the printer's hardware or a communication error. It’s not a common error code, but it might be linked to issues with the printhead, cartridges, or communication with the printer’s firmware.

Here are several steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Try printing again to see if the error message clears.

2. Check for Paper Jams

Sometimes, an internal paper jam or issue can trigger an error code.

  • Open the printer and check for any paper jams in the paper tray, print path, or under the printhead.
  • Remove any jammed paper carefully and reset the printer.

3. Check Ink Cartridges

Make sure your ink cartridges are properly installed and not damaged:

  • Open the printer and check that the cartridges are seated correctly.
  • If any cartridges appear to be low or empty, replace them with new ones.
  • Sometimes, the printer may give an error if a cartridge is installed incorrectly or is not recognized.

4. Perform a Hard Reset

A hard reset can sometimes resolve printer errors by restoring the printer to its factory settings:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the printer from the power outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
