New printer. Has made clunking and awful noises when booting up or just printing jobs. This cannot be normal.   Also having horrible time sending  jobs from iOS devices to printer using native option. .  Cannot expect users to open an HP APP to print.  Never had these Issues with Canon printer. Is grinding noise normal or do we need to return under warranty. Not a h sappy customer at the moment.

Hi @NS110,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having a frustrating experience with your new printer. The clunking and grinding noises you're describing are definitely not normal and could indicate a mechanical issue or something obstructing the printer's internal mechanisms. Here’s what you might want to consider:

Check for Obstructions: Sometimes, foreign objects or bits of paper can get stuck inside the printer. Make sure there’s nothing blocking any of the moving parts or paper paths.

Paper and Cartridges: Ensure that the paper is properly loaded and that the ink or toner cartridges are installed correctly. Sometimes improper installation can cause noises or operational issues.

Firmware Update: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Manufacturers sometimes release updates to fix bugs or improve performance.

Print Head Alignment: Some printers make noises while aligning the print head. However, if the noises are excessive or grinding, this could indicate a problem.

Connectivity Issues: For iOS devices, the native printing option should work through AirPrint. If it’s not, make sure your printer is AirPrint-compatible and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS devices. Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date as well.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
