My HP Envy Photo 7155 wireless printer quit working. I noticed a ? mark on the front panel, hit home but it didn't work. Next I uninstalled the printer from my computer but then it would not install. The computer at first recognized the printer, I clicked on it but it wouldn't load. Now it can't find it at all.

Hi @Sue361,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

It sounds like there might be an issue with the printer's display or wireless connectivity. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues.

Check Wireless Connection:

  • Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or device.
  • Check the wireless settings on the printer to ensure they are configured correctly.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP support website.
  • Download and install any available updates following the instructions provided.

Reset the Printer:

  • Resetting the printer to its factory settings can sometimes resolve persistent issues.

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

If this does not help, unplug the power cable hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds and release it. Power on the printer and check.

Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions:

  • Open the printer's access door and check for any paper jams or foreign objects that may be obstructing the printer's mechanism.
  • Remove any obstructions carefully and close the access door.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Make sure the printer is set to online mode and not in offline mode.
  • Check other settings such as paper size, print quality, etc., to ensure they are configured correctly.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Remove the printer from your computer's list of devices and reinstall it using the latest drivers from the HP website.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may indicate a hardware problem with the printer. In that case, it would be best to contact HP phone support.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
