Hi @Gunner110

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your printer has power and is connected to the internet, but it’s still not printing. Given that you’ve already turned off and unplugged the printer, here are a few more things to check and troubleshoot to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Check the Printer's Queue

  1. Clear the Print Queue:
    • Sometimes print jobs get stuck in the queue, especially if a job is canceled or interrupted.
    • On Windows: Open the Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click on your printer and select See what's printing. If there are any stuck jobs, click Cancel All Documents to clear the queue.
    • On Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Select your printer > Open Print Queue. If there are any stuck print jobs, cancel them.

Step 2: Restart the Print Spooler Service (Windows)

Sometimes the Print Spooler service can get stuck. Restarting this service can help clear issues with printing:

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.Type services.msc and press Enter.
  2. In the Services window, scroll down and find Print Spooler.
  3. Right-click on Print Spooler and select Restart.Try printing again to see if the issue is resolved.

Step 3: Check Printer Settings

Make sure the printer is correctly set as the default printer:

  1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers (on Windows) or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (on Mac).
  2. Right-click on your printer and select Set as Default Printer (or Make Default on Mac).

Step 4: Verify Printer Connection

  • If the printer is connected via Wi-Fi, check that the Wi-Fi connection is stable. If you’re using a USB connection, try a different USB port or cable to rule out connectivity issues.

Step 5: Printer’s Display for Error Codes or Messages

Check the printer’s display for any error messages or warnings. If there’s an issue like an empty ink/toner cartridge, paper jam, or low ink level, that could prevent the printer from printing.

Step 6: Printer Test

Try printing a test page directly from the printer’s control panel:

  1. Go to the Settings or Setup menu on your printer.Look for Print a Test Page or Printer Status Report.
  2. If the printer prints the test page, it confirms the printer is working but may have an issue with your computer’s connection.

Step 7: Reinstall Printer Drivers

There may be an issue with your printer drivers. Reinstalling the drivers can help:

  1. Uninstall Printer: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer and select Remove Device or Uninstall.
  2. Download and Install Latest Drivers: Go to the HP Support website, search for your printer model, and download the latest drivers. Install them and then reconnect your printer.

Step 8: Check for Software Conflicts

If you’re using any third-party software for printing (e.g., print management software or a firewall), temporarily disable it to check if it’s blocking the print job.

Step 9: Printer Firmware Update

If your printer has power and is connected to the internet, make sure it has the latest firmware:

  1. Go to the printer’s web interface (usually accessible through its IP address in a browser).
  2. Check for any available firmware updates and install them.

I hope this helps.
