HP Envy 6000

My printer will not show up when I try to add a printer. I've printed from it before, and it has worked just fine. I forgot the printer because it wasn't working in order to try to fix it. Earlier it kept saying there was not connected so I fixed that and now it's connected to the WiFi that all of my devices are also connected to yet it still will not show up when I try to add it. Like I said, it is perfectly connected, and even the printed reports I printed say the connection is excellent and confirm that I'm on the right network, yet still nothing.

@Nolan7, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are not able to print, to assist you better, which device are you using to print?

Try making a standalone copy from the flatbed glass and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

  • Restart the router, the printer, and the computer
  • Make sure the printer and the Mac are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
