My printer says Printing, but it is not. I tried to shut it off and it won't shut off. It is wireless. When I went to the HP and signed on it says the printer is not connected and can't reach it.

@Sazzzy, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
When encountering issues with your HP wireless printer displaying a "Printing" status but not actually printing, or if it’s unresponsive and won’t shut off, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
Check Your Network Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the same wireless network as your device. You can do this by checking the network settings on the printer's display panel (if available) or through the HP Smart app.
Restart Your Printer:
- Try manually restarting your printer by unplugging it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in. This can help reset any network issues.
Reset Your Network Router:
- Sometimes network issues can be resolved by resetting your router. Unplug it, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility for Windows, which can automatically solve many print and connectivity issues. It checks for network status, printer connectivity, and any other existing problems.
Reinstall the Printer Driver:
- Remove your printer from the list of devices on your computer and reinstall it. Ensure that you use the latest drivers available from the HP website.
Check the Wireless Settings:
- Make sure that the wireless settings on the printer match your network settings. Ensure there are no issues with the SSID and password.
Ensure Printer is Set as Default:
- Go to your computer’s Control Panel and make sure that the printer is set as the default printer.
Firmware Update:
- Check for any firmware updates for your printer model. An outdated firmware can also cause connectivity issues.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
