Hi @Trent45,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is displaying a print head error light, it's indicating that there may be an issue with the print head or the printer's ability to communicate with it. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor issues. Turn off the printer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on.
  • Check for Obstructions: Open the printer cover and check for any obstructions in the print head's path. Remove any visible debris or paper jams carefully.
  • Inspect the Print Head: If your printer allows it, remove the print head and inspect it for any signs of damage or clogging. Clean the print head using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or rubbing alcohol.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates include fixes for common issues.
  • Reset the Printer: Resetting the printer to its factory settings can sometimes resolve persistent issues. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
  • Replace the Print Head: If the print head is damaged or worn out, you may need to replace it.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the print head error light on your HP printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
