@Yash190, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP printer is able to copy documents, but it won’t print from your laptop, and it keeps printing old documents when reconnected. Let’s work through this step-by-step to resolve the issue.

Cancel All Pending Print Jobs

Old documents printing repeatedly usually means there are stuck print jobs in the queue.

  1. On your laptop, press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  2. Scroll down and right-click on Print Spooler, then select Stop.
  3. Open File Explorer and go to:
    C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
    (You may need admin permission.)
  4. Delete all files in this folder.
  5. Go back to Services, right-click Print Spooler, and select Start.

Reinstall the Printer Driver

Corrupt or outdated drivers can cause printing issues.

  1. Disconnect the printer from your laptop.
  2. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  3. Right-click your printer and select Remove device.
  4. Visit the official HP support site:
    Official HP® Support
  5. Enter your printer model and download the latest full feature driver.
  6. Install the driver and reconnect your printer.

Set Printer as Default

  1. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  2. Click your printer and select Manage.
  3. Click Set as default.

Check Connection Type

  • If using USB, try a different port or cable.
  • If using Wi-Fi, ensure both printer and laptop are on the same network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
