My printer occasionally prints an extra page.  For example, when I have selected to print one page, it will print two?

@JPO68, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Does the second page print blank, or is it a copy of the first page?

Also, make sure you're using the correct paper type and have set the proper settings in the print dialog. Additionally, try blowing air between the pages to ensure they aren’t sticking together, as this can cause extra pages to print.

You may try these steps:

Restart the Printer and Computer

  • Turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
  • Restart your computer to ensure there are no pending software issues.

Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Go to Control PanelProgramsPrograms and Features. Find and uninstall any HP printer software.
  • Go to the HP Customer Support—Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and download the latest drivers. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

Update Printer Firmware

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue
