Hi @Emilia18,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY Inspire 7200 series printer is outputting blank pages despite printing attempts, here are steps to resolve the issue.

Check Ink Levels

  • Ensure the ink cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink.
  • Open the HP Smart app or the printer software to check the estimated ink levels.

Clean the Printhead

A clogged printhead can prevent ink from being applied to the page. Use the printer's maintenance tools:

  1. Open the HP Smart app or printer software.
  2. Navigate to Settings or Tools and find the option for Printhead Cleaning.
  3. Follow the prompts to clean the printhead.

Run a Diagnostic Test

  • Print a Print Quality Report:
    1. From the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Tools > Print Quality Report.
    2. Review the report for any errors or missing colors.

Check the Paper Settings

  • Ensure the paper loaded matches the settings selected in the printer driver.
  • Use clean, undamaged paper and verify the paper type (e.g., plain, glossy) is set correctly.

Replace Ink Cartridges

  • If the cartridges are old, refilled, or third-party, try replacing them with new genuine HP cartridges.
  • Perform an alignment if prompted after installing new cartridges.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Outdated firmware can cause printing issues:
    1. Visit the HP Support site.
    2. Download and install the latest firmware for your printer model.

Reset the Printer

  1. Disconnect the printer from power.
  2. Wait for 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the printer and power it back on.

Check for Hardware Issues

If none of the above works:

  • Examine the printhead for physical damage.
  • Ensure there’s no ink clogging or leaks in the cartridge bay.

Perform a Factory Reset

  • A reset can resolve persistent software issues:
    1. Go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults.
    2. Follow the instructions to reset the printer to its factory settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
