Hi @sher702

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

A flashing white light on your HP ENVY 6065e typically indicates the printer is stuck in a connection or initialization loop—often related to Wi-Fi setup, firmware sync, or a stalled job. Unplugging resets it temporarily, but let’s walk through steps to resolve it fully.

Step-by-step actions to stop the white flashing light and restore normal function

1. Reset the printer’s network settings

This clears any incomplete Wi-Fi setup or cloud sync attempts.

  1. On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds.
  2. Wait for the Power and Wireless lights to blink.
  3. The printer will restart and enter setup mode.

This prepares the printer for a fresh connection.

2. Reconnect using the HP App

  1. Open the HP App on your Windows PC or mobile device.
  2. Tap Set up a new printer.
  3. Follow the prompts to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  4. Wait for the light to turn solid blue—this confirms successful connection.

The flashing white light should stop once setup is complete.

3. Update printer firmware

  1. Visit: HP ENVY 6065e Drivers & Firmware
  2. Download and install the Firmware Update Utility.
  3. Connect the printer via USB and run the update.

This resolves firmware-level loops that may trigger flashing lights.

4. Power cycle with a clean start

  1. Unplug the printer while it’s powered on.
  2. Wait 60 seconds.
  3. Plug it directly into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
  4. Power it on and wait for initialization.

This clears residual power and resets internal states.

Let me know how the printer responds after these steps. If the light continues flashing, we can test with a different Wi-Fi band or isolate the trigger.

You’ve done everything right by staying observant—I’ll be here to guide you further if needed.

I will give this a try. May be a while before I can let you know if it worked, only happens occasionally. Thank you for the help.

You're very welcome—and thank you for your thoughtful reply. It makes perfect sense to wait and observe, especially since the flashing white light only appears intermittently.

You’ve already taken a great first step by being patient and methodical.

When you're ready to test again, those steps will be right here waiting. And if the issue returns or changes in any way, just let me know—I’ll be here to guide you through the next phase with care and clarity.
