Hi @Pearlclub ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the errors you're experiencing (e.g., F0.04.02.03, F0.01.01.02, F0.03.1F.0F) suggest that your HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e printer may have software or hardware issues causing instability. Here's a step-by-step approach to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
1. Basic Printer Reset
- Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 2-3 minutes.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Check if the issue persists.
2. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Visit the HP support website and search for your printer model.
- Download and install the latest firmware update for your printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update.
- If your printer is online, you can also check for updates directly from the printer's menu under Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer.
3. Check Network Connection
Since you mentioned losing connection:
- Verify that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure the Wi-Fi signal is stable and strong. If possible, move the printer closer to the router.
- Restart your router and reconnect the printer to the network.
4. Address the Specific Error Codes
- F0.04.02.03 and F0.01.01.02: These may indicate firmware or software corruption.
- Perform a factory reset:
- Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults.
- Follow prompts to reset the printer to its original settings.
- Reconfigure the printer for your network after the reset.
- Perform a factory reset:
- F0.03.1F.0F: This could be related to hardware faults or memory issues.
- Ensure no pending print jobs are causing the printer to crash. Clear the print queue on your computer.
5. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor (available on HP’s support site).
- Use it to diagnose and fix common printer errors, including connectivity issues.
6. Perform a Semi-Full Reset
If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, perform a semi-full reset.
- Press and hold the Back and Cancel buttons on the printer simultaneously for 5-10 seconds.
- The printer will restart and reset some internal settings. Note that this may remove any custom configurations.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
