Hi @Sadilee,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating when you're trying to use your printer and run into issues like this. If you've tried the common fixes available online and still can't get your printer to be recognized or work correctly, here are a few steps you might consider trying next:

Check the Connection:

  • USB: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer. Try using a different USB port on your computer or a different USB cable.
  • Wireless: If it's a wireless printer, ensure it's connected to the same network as your computer. Sometimes, restarting the router can help.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Uninstall the current printer driver from your computer and then reinstall the latest driver from the HP website. This can often resolve issues caused by corrupt or outdated drivers.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that the printer is set as the default printer in your system settings. You can check this in the 'Printers & scanners' section of the Control Panel (on Windows) or System Preferences (on Mac).

Run the Printer Troubleshooter (for Windows):

  • Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can often detect and fix common printer issues. You can access this from the Control Panel under 'Troubleshooting'.

Reset the Printer:

  • Most printers have a way to perform a reset to factory settings, which can clear up software issues. Check the printer manual or HP website for instructions on how to do this.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Inspect the printer for any visible signs of damage or obstruction. Sometimes, issues like paper jams or misaligned ink cartridges can cause error messages.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
