I own a HP Envy Photo 7855 and it’s stuck in loading screen with a bar. I have tried turning it off and on. I have tried unplugging and plugging it back in. Nothing is working

Hi @Matt12342,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printer not accessing menu!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP Envy Photo 7855 is stuck on the loading screen with a bar, try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Disconnect all cables, including USB or Ethernet.
  3. Wait 2–3 minutes to clear any residual power.
  4. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds while unplugged.
  5. Plug it back in and turn it on.

2. Boot into Recovery Mode

Try entering the printer’s recovery mode:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Hold the power button and simultaneously tap the back button on the touchscreen (or another available button).
  3. If a recovery menu appears, look for Reset or Firmware Update options.
  4. Follow on-screen instructions to proceed.

3. Check for a Firmware Update

If your printer was in the middle of a firmware update and got stuck:

  • Visit HP’s website (HP Support) and download the latest firmware update for the HP Envy Photo 7855.
  • If you can access the HP Smart app on a PC, try updating the firmware from there.

4. Perform a Semi-Full Reset (Factory Reset)

  1. Unplug the printer.
  2. Hold down the Wi-Fi + Back button (or Power + Cancel, depending on the model).
  3. Plug the printer back in while holding the buttons.
  4. Wait until you see the reset screen and release the buttons.

Warning: This will erase all network settings and stored preferences.

If none of these step's work, it could be a hardware issue (corrupt firmware, faulty mainboard, or stuck update).

Let me know if you need more details on any step! 😊

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?"—your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍
