Hi @Reneewick,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand how frustrating it can be when your printer suddenly stops connecting to the internet, especially when you're relying on it for something important like a school project. We’re here to help you get back on track quickly.

Let's Get Your Printer Reconnected

Please follow these steps to restore your printer’s internet connection:

1. Restart Your Devices

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it for 30 seconds.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router.
  • Restart your computer or mobile device.

2. Reconnect Using HP App

  • Open the HP app on your device.
  • Tap “Add Printer” and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Make sure Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled during setup.

If you don’t have the app yet, you can download it here:

3. Use Wireless Setup Wizard (Touchscreen Printers)

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Wireless > Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

4. Check Your Router Settings

  • Ensure your router is broadcasting on 2.4 GHz, as many HP printers do not support 5 GHz.
  • Move the printer closer to the router to improve signal strength.

5. Print a Wireless Network Test Report

  • Press the Wireless and Information buttons together.
  • Review the report for signal strength and error messages.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
