Hi @Mouse187,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Deskjet 4645 printer experienced a critical error and the subsequent attempts to reboot or resolve the issue may have caused further complications, potentially with the firmware or the printer's hardware itself.

Here are some steps you can try to potentially resolve the issue:

Disconnect and Reconnect Power:

  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Plug the printer back in and attempt to power it up.

Check Power Source:

  • Ensure that the power outlet is functioning correctly by plugging another device into the same outlet.
  • Check the power cable for any visible damage or defects.

Hard Reset:

  • With the printer still plugged in, press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. This can sometimes clear errors and reset the printer’s internal state.

Service Mode or Recovery Mode:

  • If the printer powers up, try entering the service or recovery mode. This varies by printer model, but generally involves holding down one or more buttons while turning the printer on. You might need to look up specific instructions for your model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
