@Kev1185, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 2855e is not releasing print jobs, here are some steps to help resolve the issue:
Check Printer Status
- Make sure the printer is powered on, connected to Wi-Fi, and shows Ready status.
- If it's in offline or paused mode, it won't release jobs.
Clear Print Queue
- On your Windows PC:
- Press Windows + R, type control printers, and press Enter.
- Right-click your DeskJet 2855e and select See what's printing.
- In the queue window, click Printer > Cancel All Documents.
- Restart the printer and try printing again.
Restart Print Spooler Service
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click it, and choose Restart.
Reinstall the Printer
- Remove the printer from Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Reinstall using the HP App/Smart app: HP Smart/HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® India
Check for Firmware Updates
- Open the HP Smart app, go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings > Tools > Printer Updates.
- Install any available updates.
Reset the Printer
- Unplug the printer while it's on.
- Wait 60 seconds, plug it back in, and power it on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
