Hi @TonyD34,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP OfficeJet 6600 is experiencing a general error that's preventing it from responding. Let's try a few things.
Perform a hard reset:
- Unplug the printer from the power source and wait for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- While the printer is unplugged, press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check for any paper jams:
- Even a small paper jam can cause a general error. Open the printer and carefully inspect for any stuck paper or debris in the paper path.
Check the ink cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are properly seated and haven't been dislodged.
Try using the printer's control panel:
- If the printer is responsive, you could check the printer’s display for any error messages. Sometimes, a specific error code can help diagnose the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
