The status screen on my printer is showing a “0” and  an “E”. The printer will not print. What does this error code mean?

Hi  @Peterwinterstee,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code "0E" on your printer typically indicates a hardware issue or a problem with the printer's internal mechanisms. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

2. Check for Paper Jams

  • Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams or obstructions. Remove any jammed paper carefully.

3. Inspect the Ink Cartridges

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are installed correctly and securely. Remove and reseat them if necessary.

4. Check for Foreign Objects

  • Look inside the printer for any foreign objects or debris that may be blocking the printer's mechanism.

5. Reset the Printer

  • If your printer has a reset option, refer to the user manual to perform a factory reset. This can sometimes clear error codes.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
