Hello @Vivek9190, and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage Ultra 4720 is showing an E4 error with a blinking exclamation mark after cleaning, and it's not feeding paper. I’ll be happy to help you resolve this.
What the E4 Error Means:
The E4 error typically indicates a paper jam or paper feed issue. Since you’ve already cleaned the printer, it’s possible that:
- A small piece of paper is still stuck inside.
- The paper feed rollers are not engaging properly.
- The printer needs to be reset after cleaning.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting:
Power Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the wall.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn the printer on.
- Check if the error clears.
Check for Paper Jams Thoroughly
- Open all access doors (input tray, output tray, rear access if available).
- Use a flashlight to inspect for any tiny scraps of paper or debris.
- Gently rotate the rollers with your fingers to ensure they move freely.
Clean the Paper Feed Rollers
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
- Clean the rollers inside the input tray and rear access area.
- Let them dry for 10 minutes before turning the printer back on.
Load Paper Correctly
- Use clean, wrinkle-free A4 or Letter-size paper.
- Fan the stack before loading.
- Do not overload the tray.
- Adjust the paper width guides snugly against the paper.
