HP DeskJet 2810e All-in-One Printer

My printer will print one full page then the next few times I try to print it's only printing the top of the page. I've tried a hard reset. Checked all ink cartridges. Unsure what to do next it's driving me nuts and wasting so much card and taking me way over my instant ink limit. Really annoying.

Hi @Lauracee,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating that your HP DeskJet 2810e is only printing properly sometimes. Here are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Check Ink Levels: Even though you mentioned checking the cartridges, ensure that the ink levels are sufficient, as low ink can lead to incomplete prints. Replace any cartridges that are low or empty.

Clean Printhead: Use the printer's maintenance options to clean the printhead. This can help improve print quality if the printhead is clogged. You can typically find this option in the printer settings on your computer or through the printer's control panel.

Printer Reset: Since you’ve already tried a hard reset, make sure to perform it correctly:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least two minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check if the issue persists after the reset.

Print Quality Diagnostic Page: Print a diagnostic page to see if the problem is with specific colors or print functions. This can help determine if the issue is hardware-related.

Driver Update: Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause printing issues. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.

Print from Different Applications: Try printing from various applications to see if the problem is specific to one program.

Connectivity Check: If you are using a wireless connection, ensure that the printer is properly connected to the network. Sometimes, a weak signal can affect printing.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
