I have an HP OfficeJet 8015e wireless color All-In-One Printer that is printing two copies of everything I print. How can I fix this?

Hi @Jeannie5273,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Printing two copies of everything can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Check Print Settings:

  • Make sure that your print settings are configured to print only one copy. When you go to print, adjust the number of copies to 1 in the print dialog box on your computer.

Printer Preferences:

  • Open the printer preferences or settings on your computer.
  • Ensure that the default number of copies is set to 1.
  • Sometimes, printers can default to printing multiple copies if the driver settings are configured incorrectly.

Printer Control Panel:

  • On the printer's control panel, check if there are any settings related to the number of copies being printed.
  • Navigate through the printer's menu to ensure that it's not set to print multiple copies by default.

Reset Printer:

  • Sometimes, resetting the printer can resolve minor issues like this. Turn off the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • This can clear out any temporary glitches in the printer's memory.

Update Printer Driver:

  • Ensure that your printer driver is up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing issues.
  • Visit the HP website or use the HP Smart app to check for and install any available updates for your printer.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Similarly, check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Firmware updates can fix bugs and improve performance.

Printer Reset:

  • If the issue persists, you may need to perform a more comprehensive reset of the printer. This typically involves accessing the printer's menu or settings to perform a factory reset.
  • Note that a factory reset will erase all custom settings, so you may need to reconfigure any network settings or preferences afterward.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and fix the problem of your HP OfficeJet 8015e printer printing two copies of everything.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
