Hi @Jayterra,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Experiencing issues with printing from your iPhone to your HP printer can indeed be frustrating, especially if it requires daily restarts. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Update Firmware and Software:

  • Ensure that your HP printer's firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause compatibility issues with devices like iPhones.
  • Update the HP Smart app on your iPhone to the latest version from the App Store.

Restart Devices Properly:

  • Instead of just restarting, try performing a full power cycle on both your HP printer and iPhone. Turn them off completely, wait for a few minutes, and then turn them back on.

Check Network Connection:

  • Make sure both your iPhone and HP printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • If your printer supports it, try connecting it via Ethernet cable to your router for a more stable connection.

Forget and Reconnect Printer:

  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, find your printer in the list of available networks, and forget it.
  • Then, reconnect your iPhone to the printer by selecting it again from the list of available networks.

Reset Network Settings:

  • Sometimes, network-related issues can cause printing problems. On your iPhone, you can try resetting network settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Keep in mind this will reset all network-related settings, including Wi-Fi passwords.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that your printer is set as the default printer on your iPhone. You can check this in the Settings app under Printers & Scanners.
  • Verify that there are no print jobs stuck in the print queue.

Update iPhone Software:

  • Make sure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. Software updates often include bug fixes and improvements that could resolve compatibility issues.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue of needing to restart your HP printer and iPhone.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
