HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer

My printer has a frozen screen and will not advance to the menu. I have restarted several times, taken out print cartridges, tried hard lining in to my laptop, but nothing works.

Hi @bekalina27,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating! If restarting and removing the cartridges didn't help, here are a few additional steps you can try.

  • Power Cycle: Unplug the printer from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset any temporary issues causing the screen to freeze.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: If possible, check HP’s website for any firmware updates for your printer model. Sometimes, a firmware update can resolve issues with the printer's functionality.
  • Factory Reset: If you can access the printer's settings or menu at any point, you might try performing a factory reset. This can often resolve issues related to software or firmware. The process usually involves holding down specific buttons while turning on the printer, but check your printer's manual for exact instructions.
  • Inspect the Control Panel: Look for any visible damage or obstructions on the printer’s control panel. Sometimes, physical issues can cause the screen to freeze.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
