On power-up start-up sequence starts but does not end. Mechanical chattering occurs, start-up hour-glass symbol does not disappear. This has happened a few times in the past, but after a "rest' and a couple of restarts it usually sorted itself out. Not this time!

Thank you for being a part of HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
Removing the ink cartridges and power resetting the printer should kick it out of initialization loop. Let's try these steps:
1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector
2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door
3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer
6) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.
Let me know how it goes!

Previous advice from this forum was to disconnect power cable, remove cartridges, close door and then reconnect power. It worked last time (September) but this time that solution has not worked. What else can I do?
