Hi @CareyD122,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like the issue was resolved by turning the printer off and on, which can often clear any temporary glitches. However, if this problem happens again, here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check the Print Queue:

  • Go to the print queue on your computer and see if the PDF is stuck. If it is, try canceling the job and resending it.

Ensure Proper Connection:

  • Make sure the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. For network printers, ensure that the WiFi or Ethernet connection is stable.

Update Drivers:

  • Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause issues. Visit the HP website and check if there are any updates for your printer's drivers.

Run Printer Troubleshooter:

  • If you're using Windows, you can run the built-in printer troubleshooter by going to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters and selecting "Printer."

Check PDF File:

  • Sometimes, the PDF file itself may be problematic. Try printing a different document to see if the issue is with the printer or the file.

Print Directly to Printer:

  • Try setting the printer to "Print directly to the printer" instead of "Spooling." This can be changed in the printer properties under the Advanced tab.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
