HP DeskJet 2752 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My printer colour ink cartridge is flashing. When I go to HP Smart App, it says printer offline. However, my wifi button is blue and working. When I print the Information page, it says connected to my network, strong signal, but says I am not enrolled in HP Ink. I am. I sign in to my HP Ink account, it says I am signed it and enrolled but they cannot connect to my printer.

Very, very frustrating. New colour ink, received in mail through HP ink program, printed 1-2 times before this issue arose.

Help!?

Hi @davet32,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating issue where your printer appears connected to the network but is still not functioning properly. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem:

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure that the printer is powered on and doesn't display any other error messages apart from the ink cartridge flashing.
  • Since the ink cartridge is flashing, double-check to make sure it is properly installed and that there are no protective tapes still attached. Sometimes reseating the cartridge can help.

Printer Connectivity:

  • Even though the WiFi button is blue and the Information page reports a strong signal, it's possible there may be issues with the printer's IP address being recognized by your network. Try restarting both your printer and your router. This can help resolve any IP conflicts or connectivity issues.

Check HP Smart App and Ink Account:

  • Sometimes, the problem could be with the HP Smart App itself. Ensure that the app is updated to the latest version. If it is up to date, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
  • Double-check your HP Instant Ink account status online to confirm that there are no issues or notifications that might affect your printer's performance.

Disable and Re-enable Web Services:

  • Sometimes turning off the printer's web services and then turning them back on can resolve communication issues. You can do this directly from the printer’s control panel under the web services or settings menu.

Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. These updates are crucial for fixing bugs and improving the performance of your printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
