Printer turning off and on

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

While printer is sitting unused it turns off after a few minutes. turns off, power light blinks a couple of times then goes out. After 20 seconds or so printer turns back on. It doesn't seem to completely shut down as it doesn't re-initialize. This is a new issue it never did this before.

Welcome to t he HP support community.

Complete the following procedure to change the Shut Down After Delay setting:

1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, swipe until the Setup menu displays. Touch the Setup icon to open the menu.

2. Open the following menus:

● System Setup

● Energy Settings

● Shut Down After

3. Select the time for the Shut Down After delay.

Set the Shut Down After Inactivity delay and configure the printer to use 1 watt or less of power.
