i began getting a flashing light when powering up. manually cleared by pressing continue button next to yellow flashing lamp. i printed one job then got an interruption,  checked printer and flashing yellow lamp was blinking. cleared that momentarially and printer printed a report saying printer unable to print, only printer reports. i reset it by unplugging for couple minutes. still same situation. had checked the toner level and it was 1/2 full, and the report said cartridge was normal.  i had just printed a few papers when this condition began. i just looked at all the reports and found one that says check my account, if not resolved printer will be unable to print. FYI going to check account.  let me check in and find out.

ok, the printer is HP Laser Jet M110we. the 1st replacement Toner cartridge claimed to print 4000 sheets of paper. Thats about a ream. I checked the toner level when installed, on the MacAir M2, the level showed full.

Now the level shows 1/2 full, but when siging in to HPsmart's service, that show's empty. Believe the reason for this problem is "out of toner".  HP advertised this cartridge able to print 4000 sheets. I have not used that amount.

As my computer is showing the cartridge half full and HPsmart is indicating empty, an explanation is required

to resolve this condition. 

1. do the cartridges actually contain the correct amount of toner?

2. why is there a difference in the amount of toner reported by the Mac and HPsmart,

It's your HP+ account check issue, nothing to do with a toner cartridge.

well, well. seems the problem was that my internet provider had service interruption, which disable the

web page gizmo. via hp svc tech, it was enabled and that fixed the problem. my computer is a MacAir M2.

 

seems this method of continuity is absolutely stupid. there is no simple way to reset the printer without

tech assist. thought you ought to know. i have never had to have a tech take over my mac and fix

a problem to allow me to print. this report off the top. i could have of some research and found the answer.

so what am i doing? printing to a cloud? **bleep**!
