HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw

Hello all!

I have a LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw that will not boot up.

Problem:

When I turn the printer on, the light indicator turns on, but the printer never seems to boot up. The screen stays blank, the printer makes a noise like it is trying to initialize, but then stops and never does anything again. The printer cannot be accessed through the web portal as it never is able to connect to both hard lined network and wireless network. Printer is out of warranty.

My troubleshooting:

-I have tried changing the outlet it was plugged into even making sure that the outlet I tried was on a different circuit.

-I tried unplugging the device and leaving it unplugged for 30 minutes.

-I want to do a factory reset, but because I cannot access the screen, I cannot do this.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Try connecting via usb to see if your computer responds. If the screen is blank but the printer will respond to print commands then likely the control panel is bad. If the printer does not respond then there is a good chance the formatter is bad.

Thank you for the possible solution.

Unfortunately, when I tried to plug the printer into the computer, it didn't even recognize that something was plugged in.

I may have to contact HP directly.

Thank you for you help!
