HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My 8035e worked just fine last week, and now all the sudden an error pops up saying
"an error has occured and you will be unable to print until the issue is resolved. Check your HP account for more information. If you have HP+ printer, make sure to use original  HP cartridges. To learn more open the HP smart app or visit www.hpsmart.com and sign into your account"

When i open HP smart the printer says ready.

 I am using HP cartridges

Print job then cancels itself and refuses to do anything.

Hi @Mare_Eli,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e shows an account-related error and won’t print even though HP Smart says it’s ready. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check Your HP Account Status
Open the HP Smart app, go to the Account or Instant Ink/HP+ section.
Make sure your account is active, signed in, and not showing any billing or subscription alerts.

Reconnect the Printer to Your HP Account
In the HP Smart app, remove the printer and then add it again.
This forces a fresh sync between the printer and your HP account.

Restart Printer Web Services
On the printer, go to the Web Services or HP+ setup menu.
Turn Web Services Off, wait 30 seconds, and turn them back On.

Check Cartridge Authentication
Remove all ink cartridges and reinstall them firmly.
Make sure all are genuine HP (HP+ printers will stop printing if any cartridge is non-original).

Power Reset the Printer
With the printer ON, unplug the power cable from the printer.
Wait 60 seconds, plug it back in, and let it fully restart.

Clear the Print Queue & Restart Devices
Cancel all queued print jobs on your computer or phone.
Restart the computer, printer, and Wi-Fi router to refresh the connection.

Update Printer Firmware
On the printer’s control panel, open Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer.
Install any available updates and restart the device.

I hope this helps.
