I am trying to print from y HP Laser Jet Pro M148 and when I go into settings, it says "Idle"

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

 

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

  1. Click System Preferences from the Dock.

  2. Under Hardware, click Print and Fax.

  3. If your printer model is not selected, click the model under Printers.

  4. Click the Open Print Queue… button.

  5. Click Printer Setup ().

  6. Click the Utility button.

  7. Click the Up Arrow () next to Auto-Off after: to increase the delay time.

    Do not uncheck Automatically turn off device after inactivity, unless you want to disable Auto-Off mode.

  8. Click the OK button.
