@Rosaline2, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2723e is not printing and both the “i” (Information) and Wi-Fi lights are flashing. This usually indicates a network connection issue or a setup problem. Let’s walk through the steps to get your printer back up and running:

Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Check Wi-Fi Connection

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi network is working and your printer is within range.
  • The flashing Wi-Fi light means it's not connected. You’ll need to reconnect it.

Reconnect Using HP Smart App

  • Download the HP Smart app on your phone or PC: HP Smart
  • Open the app and add your printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi.

If the printer is not found, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together for 5 seconds to reset the network settings. Then try adding it again in HP Smart.

Check for Print Queue or Driver Issues

  • On your PC, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer > See what’s printing.
  • Cancel any stuck print jobs.
  • Make sure your printer is set as Default.

Update Printer Firmware (Optional but Recommended)

Final Check

Once the Wi-Fi light is solid blue, your printer is connected. Try printing a test page from the HP Smart app or your PC.

I hope your issue is now resolved. If not, feel free to reply and we’ll continue helping until everything’s sorted!
