I have a Officejet Pro 6970. It will not print a document in colour, although  the test print does.

I am using a Windows PC. I find that the printer prints in colour from another laptop and with test prints .It scans in colour. I can only think that the fault lies with my PC

I might already have replied. If not:  my printer  works off a Windows PC. It will print in colour from a test print and a laptop. It scans in colour.  I can only think the fault lies in the PC.

Please uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

I have got as far as 'Download your software to start printing', entered the details and have the message 'Unable to download easysart 12.6.09.exe from ftp.pb.com. Requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.

 I can now print nothing.

Please reply quickly

After spending Saturday afternoon and evening trying to reinstall the printer, it now works again.  The only trouble is that it STILL DOES NOT PRINT IN COLOUR,  the reason for the query in the first place.  I  seem to have wasted a lot of time. As I said originally, I think it is the fault of the computer.
