Can you ask for a status report? if it cannot even print a status report using buttons on the printer then try the EWS tool. We cannot help you unless there is an error message that has some type of diagnostic.
See if EWS can provide more information.
This explains how to Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Your printer may be online but is waking up from sleep and getting a different IP address from the Wi-Fi system it is connected to. It is online but your PC has an old address. It is like someone changing their phone number and not telling you. The quickest way to solve this is to print directly to the printer using Wi-Fi direct. Alternately go into the modem / router and have the DHCP server assign a fixed IP address for each device at your location. That way they never change.
Please provide the exact model name of the printer for better assistance as I may be able to find videos to show how to connect or fix the problem. A printer can be a PRO or a PLUS or have the letter 'e' after the number and that can make a big difference. Some printers with the same number ID could be a LaserJet, Deskjet, or Officejet.
